The French senate outlines the absence of a long-term strategy for the improvement of air quality

A study of the French senate stretches out that “difficulties in realisation of the directive of air quality improvement result from a fairly ambitious national action, the complex governance and the small finances that are distributed to a large number of actors.” Even though the quality of air has become an important political subject, no long-term improvement can be expected because of the multitude of actors and insufficient funds. Also, cooperation between the national government and local authorities must be improved. As long as these problems resist, car drivers must attend further restrictions in free circulation.
