Air pollution harms our cognitive abilities

During the World Health Day celebrated on April 6, air pollution was one of the most important topics of discussion, especially regarding its consequences for mental health. A study from Oxford Unviersity suggests that air pollution contributes to the development of alzheimer’s disease through the magnetic particles contained in the air, which introduce themselves into the human brain. In addition, a study from Ohio State University has shown that the long-term consequences of air pollution leads to important physical changes in the human brain, thus potentially causing depression, anxiety or memory loss.
